A season of music, creativity, and real experience.
This summer, Daggerhart Music offers hands-on musical experiences that go beyond the weekly lesson. Whether stepping into a band, creating original music, or exploring rhythm through group drumming, each offering is designed to help musicians grow through doing.
Our summer programs focus on small groups, meaningful collaboration, and giving students the chance to create something they can be proud of.
Rock Ensemble Lab
A hands-on ensemble experience for musicians
Rock Ensemble Lab is a small-group experience where participants step into the role of a working band. Over the course of the week, musicians rehearse together, develop tight ensemble playing, and prepare for a live performance.
This is a great fit for students who are ready to move beyond solo playing and experience what it feels like to create music as a group.
June 8–12, 2026
Final public performance on June 13
Creators Lab
Write, develop, and record your own music
Creators Lab is designed for musicians who are ready to explore original music in a deeper way. Participants will develop their own ideas, learn how music is structured, and shape a piece from concept to completion.
The experience culminates in a recording session, giving students the opportunity to hear their music brought to life.
July 13–17, 2026
Recording sessions on July 18
West African Drumming
Learn rhythm, tradition, and ensemble drumming through the music of West Africa
This group class offers an energetic introduction to the polyrhythmic music of West Africa. Participants will learn through hands-on ensemble playing while exploring the instruments, traditions, and cultural roots behind the music.
West African Drumming is open to a wide range of participants and provides a powerful, community-based musical experience.
